The challenge
Stichting LEFteam runs Jas voor Jeugd: a program that collects donated clothing, shoes, and accessories from Limburgian schools and unclaimed items from Universiteit Maastricht, then gets them to young people who need them. Around 1,450 youth a year, 31 schools involved, roughly 4,000 kg of items redistributed. The items are free. Customers pay only shipping.
A public webshop doesn't work for that model. The stock isn't for everyone: it's for the young people their case workers are actively supporting. They needed a shop that only opened its checkout to people who'd been referred by a social worker or partner organisation.
We built that on ShopVirge.

Checkout control
The referral flow runs through Workflow Orchestrator. A case worker submits a referral for a client: their details, plus who is referring them and from which organisation. WFO creates a JVJ Customer subscription and sends a magic link to the young person. They click it. Their referral is verified. An approval token lands in their browser. From that point, they can check out. Without it, the cart blocks them.
The token is single-use. Once they complete an order, it's consumed.
Live storefront
ShopVirge handles the rest: a Dutch-language storefront, product catalog with clothing and shoes, Stripe for the shipping payment, and an admin interface the LEFteam team can use without touching code. The store runs in Dutch. The platform supports more languages, but JVJ's audience is Limburgian youth.
The store is live at shop.jvjselection.nl.
